Freelance Writer, Editor and Copywriter
Hello. I am a highly experienced freelance journalist, editor and copywriter whose work has appeared in titles such as The Guardian, The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Independent. I work across print and digital, and my skills include project management, client management and SEO.
Writing
My specialisms are music, TV, technology, the Arts and health, although I have written across a diverse range of subjects, from profiling a man who travels the globe licking iconic paintings to interviewing actor Sam Neill about where in the world to get the best cup of tea. I spent ten years writing about TV for The Guardian G2 and now work as a reporter at the MIPTV and MIPCOM markets. I am also a regular contributor to World Screen magazine, writing about global trends in the TV documentaries market.
Editing
For the last 15 years I have worked as a freelance editor for Future PLC, project managing the team that produces The Musician, the award-winning magazine for the 32,000 members of the Musicians’ Union. I am a regular contributor to MusicRadar, and have edited numerous newsstand music bookazines on artists such as The Beatles, Billie Eillish and Pink Floyd. I have also worked as production editor on titles such as T3, Edge, Homes & Antiques, Cycling Plus, Guitarist, Total Guitar and Rhythm.
